Hosted by the Corning-Elmira Alumni Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Join us for a night of fun, community, and giving back to support scholarships for underserved youth.

Date: February 8, 2025
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Corning Museum of Glass
One Museum Way, Corning, NY

The men of Corning-Elmira (NY) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. invite you to support our scholarship fund by becoming a sponsor of our annual Sweetheart Ball fundraising event. Eighteen years ago, we were challenged to create a legacy that would be symbolic of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity’s fundamental purpose of achievement. Our goal is to help others who have leadership qualities and a passion for learning but lack the means to power their ambitions.

Sweetheart Ball Brief History:

The history of this chapter reflects a deep commitment to supporting underserved youth in the community. We started in 2008 with the goal of positively impacting disadvantaged young men, the chapter has focused on mentorship, establishing the Kappa League youth program in 2013, and raising scholarship funds through events like the Sweetheart Ball and a golf tournament.

The Kappa League youth program, which ran from 2013 to 2019, was designed to teach young men from 6th to 12th grade essential leadership qualities and the importance of giving back to those less fortunate. The program provided practical life skills such as how to tie a tie, shine shoes, dress for success, and present effectively. It also guided participants in planning for college and applying for scholarships, equipping them with the tools needed for academic and professional success.

The chapter, officially chartered in 2013, has been a pillar of service, engaging in activities such as volunteering for over 12 years with the Salvation Army and participating in Habitat for Humanity events. A core focus of their efforts has been education, specifically providing scholarships to underserved high school seniors who have been accepted to college or university.

We look forward to hosting you and your guest at the Kappa Alpha Psi Sweetheart Ball fundraiser.

 Thank you
